The real reason why you keep giving up on yourself

This is the part where you give up on yourself…

You sit there, letting your mind wander, as you procrastinate (again) about starting your own business. The idea of starting one used to be exciting. You used to be motivated to write out your plans. Other business owners would inspire you as your Instagram is chock full of lady bosses from all over.

Entrepreneurship used to be your thing. Ever since you were a small girl, you’ve been fascinated with the idea of working for yourself. The idea still hasn’t left you. It was fun dreaming but now the mere thought of being anything has become like a nightmare on elm street.

Your dreams now haunt you. It’s as if they ridicule you from their penthouse suites because they feel so far away from you now. Unobtainable. They are so high above you and the journey looks too difficult so you do what you’ve always done. You give up.

This is why you give up.

Giving up isn’t new to you. It’s something you’re used to doing when things don’t go as planned. When people don’t support you like you thought they would or when bad news comes in like bird chirps on a Sunday morning.

It’s that bad. Giving up on your dreams has now become easy and that’s a scary place to be.

I understand these feelings that inspire you to quit every single day. I get it. I’ve been there, got a t-shirt, and bought a house. It is really hard to stay motivated to keep trying when there is absolutely no evidence that anything will change. I mean, isn’t that what you are looking for? Some type of indicator that if you start this project, you will definitely be successful. Like the front of a joker playing card, you want a guarantee that if you do this thing then you will surely be rich, famous, and have 1.2 million subscribers and followers. That’s what you want right? Well Hunny, that’s not how this ( life ) works. Successful people aren’t successful because they got it all right. They are successful because they had faith.

It’s about now faith.

Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen. Hebrews 11:1 TPT

Faith is the one thing that separates you from the ones you aspire to be. Your lack of faith is the core reason why you are giving up on yourself so often. Its presence is what’s keeping you from turning your hopes into a reality. You don’t believe sis. You don’t believe in any of your dreams. You don’t believe in your vision. You doubt that any of it will happen for you. Emphasis on the “for you” as you do have faith for others, you just don’t have any for yourself. This is why you are always giving up on yourself and on your dreams but you go so hard for your sister’s goals. (or maybe you are jealous, but that’s for another time. *sips tea*) You help them. You cheer for them. You support them but you can’t keep any of that same energy for yourself. It doesn’t exist!

He told them, “It was because of your lack of faith. I promise you, if you have faith inside of you no bigger than the size of a small mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move away from here and go over there,’ and you will see it move! There is nothing you couldn’t do! Matthew 17:20 TPT

Your lack of faith is breaking you and it is costing you. All those unfinished projects, books, journals, and applications have taken away your time that you won’t get back. What about all of the time you invested in these half-baked ideas? It’s forfeited if you don’t make something out of it.

You need faith. You don’t need a new plan. You need faith. You don’t need a bunch of cash. You need faith. You are sitting on million-dollar ideas baby! There’s no need to start something new, you just need some faith and follow-through.

The secret to manifesting the life you want.

Jesus replied, “Listen to the truth. If you have no doubt of God’s power and speak out of faith’s fullness, you can be the ones who speak to a tree and it will wither away. Even more than that, you could say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and be thrown into the sea’ and it will be done.
Matthew 21:21 TPT

The secret to manifesting the life you want is in this scripture.  Stop doubting God’s power and speaking out of faithFULLness.

Your lack of faith means that deep down inside, you doubt God’s power. You believe and act on that feeling. Somehow, maybe through your experiences, you stopped believing that God would help you or that He even cares. Your life has taught you that the only one you can rely on is yourself. I know you might be countering this statement with ” I trust God” or ” I rely on God all the time” but do you really?

You don’t need a new plan. You need faith. You don’t need a bunch of cash. You need faith.

Do you really believe that God’s supernatural power can infuse itself into your situation and take your small idea and blossom it into a global empire? Do you fully trust that He can get you from where you are right now and catapult you smack dab into your visions? If you truly believed as you say, then for one, you wouldn’t be reading this article. And two, you would never, ever, ever, give up on anything.

Successful people aren’t successful because they got it all right. They are successful because they had faith.

Faithful people speak.

Having that full-on belief of God’s power working in your life will inspire you to speak out your faith. You will be so full of it that it will just spew out of you in regular conversation. Inwardly and outwardly, you will radiate with faith and hope because your heart knows, beyond a doubt, that it will happen. It’s a guarantee!

your lack of faith means that deep down inside, you doubt God’s power

This does not mean that God will become your genie, granting every wish and desire. This means that you will speak His will into existence and it will manifest. How do you know His will? By asking Him and reading His word. This all will take faith, of course. Faith that you may or may not admit to having. This leads me to this basic question:

Will you up your faith game?

You have a faith problem. I challenge you to work on this problem first. Don’t look at your laziness or bad attitude right now, even though they probably are problematic. Take a look at your unbelieving heart. Ask yourself why you stopped having faith. Write down the thoughts you have right before giving up. What do they sound like?

There’s no need to start something new, you just need some faith and follow-through.

What are your thoughts saying about your heart condition? Why are you of little, or no faith? Maybe you were disappointed in the past by God. Perhaps God angered you in some way and you harbor unforgiveness towards Him.  Once this reason becomes clear, you can have more consistency and perseverance to stick out those plans you wrote down last year. When you are full of faith, you can finally stop giving up and giving up on yourself.
