More Trust. Less Fear.

“The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the LORD will be exalted and safe.”
PROVERBS 29:25 AMP
Did you know that your fear or anxiety is what traps you? It captures you like a hook to a fish. The fear of man that this scripture refers to is the wrath of man. The wrath of your crooked professor or the eggshells you walk on for your boss. It’s the anxiety of being obedient to God at the expense of your so-called friends on the praise team. It’s the anxiety that bill collectors bring or trigger happy law enforcement. It refers to your irrational fear of man.
The fear of man that this scripture refers to is the wrath of man.
The question is why do you allow it to run rampant? You, possessing the Holy Spirit, have more power than the fear you let control you. I stated that correctly. YOU are letting fear snare you. God’s word says, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”
YOU are letting fear snare you.
If you could get past your fear you will be safe. How do I do that you ask? This scripture provides the answer. You must put all your trust in the Lord. It’s your choice. Will it be fear or trust? Ask yourself this when you’re faced with a decision or afraid to say or do what God has told you to. Only one provides the safety you desire.
Closing Commentary: Feel the fear and do it anyway.
